TD Summer Reading Club 2026

The TD Summer Reading Club (SRC) is Canada’s biggest, bilingual summer reading program for kids of all ages, interests, and abilities. This free Club is offered at more than 2,000 public libraries across Canada. The Club celebrates Canadian authors, illustrators, and stories, and inspires kids to explore the fun of reading. This is key to building a lifelong love of reading.
This year’s SRC encourages kids to dive in and explore the great, wide world around them through reading, activities, and programs at their library! Find all upcoming events in our calendar.
Here’s How It Works:
- Beginning on Monday, June 22: Visit your Library Branch to sign up for the Summer Reading Club! We will give you some materials to get you started on your summer reading adventure!
- Wednesday, July 1: Begin tracking your reading on your Reading Log. Each day that you read for 30 minutes earns you one draw ballot!
- Tuesday, September 1: Deadline to collect and enter your ballots into the prize draws!
- Wednesday, September 2 to Friday, September 4: Prize winners will be notified.
- Saturday, September 19: Last day to pick up prizes.
When does the Summer Reading Club start?
How do I earn ballots for the draws?
You can earn ballots by:
- Registering for SRC.
- Reading for 30 minutes a day (limit of one ballot per day for reading)
- Completing a passport (included in your registration package)
- Completing an optional activity
- Book Review
- Bingo Sheet
- Library Branch Activity
Visit your library branch to learn more about the book review, bingo sheet, and library branch activities, as each branch has something different to offer!
Each branch will have draws for themed gift baskets and a gift card. You can choose which prize(s) you are interested in and put your ballots in those draws!
I like to visit more than one library branch. Can I sign up at all these branches?

I’m going to be away for part of the summer. Can I still participate?
Yes! Keep track of your reading while you are away and report back to us when you get home.
My grandchildren are visiting for a week. Can they participate in the Summer Reading Club?
Yes! Bring your grandchildren to the library and we will sign them up! They are also welcome to register for any of our programs.
Do I need a library card to join the Summer Reading Club?
No, you don’t need a library card to join the club, but getting a library card is free and easy and you need one to borrow items.
How do I collect stamps in my passport?
