Borrowing from Other Libraries

The Region of Waterloo Library (RWL) has borrowing arrangements with nearby library systems. This means our members may borrow materials and resources from those libraries at no cost. Members of those participating libraries may borrow materials and resources from RWL. To use this service, you must be a taxpayer of one of the four townships (North Dumfries, Wellesley, Wilmot, Woolwich).

I am a member of nearby library system. Can I use my existing library card at RWL? 

No, the Library will issue you a Region of Waterloo Library card. Proof of address is required. 

What materials can I borrow? 

Borrowers from nearby libraries may access all of RWL’s print and physical collections, as well as many of our digital resources. Access to digital content may vary based on licensing agreements. Other library systems may have different rules for RWL members borrowing from their libraries.
