Internet Access Policy

The Region of Waterloo Library provides Internet access to library users to access information, resources and entertainment. All Internet users are required to accept and comply with RWL’s Internet Use Agreement and abide by its terms.

Anyone wishing to use the Internet at the Region of Waterloo Library must have a library card or a valid guest pass. All users must accept RWL’s Internet Use Agreement before Internet access will be given.  A parent or guardian must accept the Internet Use Agreement on behalf of their minor child(ren) and also sign a Children’s Choice of Internet Access Form for each child before access will be given to a child/teen under the age of 18.

Adult  patrons with valid library cards may log themselves into an adult computer in branches with separate adult and children’s computers, or any computer in branches without separate computer areas. Adults without library cards can visit the circulation desk to be issued a guest pass.

Internet use statistics will be kept.

Patrons should refer to computer time limits posted in the branch.
