Public Health Kits
What?
- Health Teaching Kits assembled by Region of Waterloo Public Health staff
- Provide you with a hands-on way to teach about health
- Topics include healthy eating, hand washing, dental health, physical activity, injury & substance misuse prevention, and more
- Many kits include games, models, and ideas for activities
- Resources for all ages
- Available to borrow free of charge from the library for up to 8 weeks
How?
- Region of Waterloo Library card required;
- No membership card? Get one here
- Please note: if you sign up for an online membership, you will receive a plastic library card when you pick up your first kit
- Kits must be booked in advance

- Don’t see what you’re looking for? Send an email to publichealth@regionofwaterloo.ca to suggest additional kit topics
- When you’re ready to reserve a kit, follow these steps:
- Have your RWL membership card ready
- No membership card? Get one here
- Please note: if you sign up for an online membership, you will receive a plastic library card when you pick up your first kit
- Click the link to “Reserve Public Health Kit”, then click “RESERVE THIS KIT” to begin the booking process
- Select your desired start date
- Enter your library barcode
- Fill out your personal contact information in the fields as required (i.e., Name, Phone, Email)
- Select your desired pick-up location from the drop-down menu
- Click “Reserve this Kit”
- You will be contacted when your kit is ready to be picked up
- Kits may be picked up and returned at any Region of Waterloo Library branch, or at one of the following Region locations:
- 150 Main Street, Cambridge (Welcome Space), Monday to Friday 8:30-4:30
- 99 Regina Street, Waterloo (Welcome Space), Monday to Friday 8:30-4:30
- Please note: All kits can be returned to any Library branch location. Kits that were picked up from a Library branch may ONLY be returned at a Library branch.
